A note about IMO threads - please read!

The IMO forum rules are posted here; http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17161

Recently, I've found several threads supplying links to print media articles that few reasonable posters could object to, and question why those threads were posted in the first place. Please don't start threads with the sole objective of gaining attention and/or points for starting a thread, as that will result in the thread being moved to a more appropriate forum, or closed. Thank you.

No responses? My message must have sounded too "dire". As clarification: If you post a thread with a link to print media, it doesn't automatically belong in IMO. Gossipy or non-controversial threads (provided they're PG-13) will receive more views and responses in The Cat Lounge. If the thread is cat-related, it may very well be better suited for What's New, Pussycat? or Cats S.O.S.. If you're not sure where you should post, contact a mod or administrator.

Not too dire! I think just perhaps we all read it and nodded to ourselves but didn't hit the post reply button.

For once!!

I didn't think it needed one.

My bad about the two threads I posted, I wasn't sure where to put them. Especially the one about the dead dude being wheeled around in the check cashing scheme.

I agree JCat - some news items are not things that would be "discussed". I personally would prefer to read my news items in my daily paper or on-line and then I can choose whether I want to read gorry stories or not. I do however, enjoy topics in IMO where there are good arguments and discussions going on.
