how often does your cat poop

Our kitten has been eating quite a bit over the past 2 weeks (up to 1.25 can of 5.5 oz of wet per day --- recommended 1 can per 8lb for adult, but up to 2x as much for kitten). He was only 4lb about 2-3 weeks ago. He feels heavier now, no doubt.

My question is whether his pooping of up to 3-4x per day is too much? Are we over-feeding him? We do little to next-to-no dry. I don't remember him pooping this often before.

kittens under 6-8 months can poop a lot

Mine poop 1 or 2 times per day. I feed dry food Purina Naturals, two meals a day. My 8-pound girl gets 1/3 cup at each meal; my 11-pound boy gets 1/2 cup.

I would really only worry if he's gaining weight faster than he's growing (so that he's getting a belly and you can't feel his ribs anymore); or else if the frequency is due to diarrhea.

My Kitten was doing that when she was younger but now she dosent. it would stink too. Was like 4-5 times a day.

Mine used to go around 4 times a day give or take and as she got older...it got less. She's 9 mons now and it's usually once or twice sometimes. It seems like the younger they are, the more they go and the more it stinks!
