that is so cute and it definetely suits you!

I wont be having any bridesmaids (that is so italian), we don't have the rings yet. and we dont have the date planned yet, it will have to be done as soon as my visa application gets approven. But atleast i have small bits and pieces already, I have enough material to make the gifts that you fill up with almonds and a little decoration. My friend is giving me a wooden basket and I have the fake flowers to decorate it with. Our theme is going to be these Lillies

one of my friends over here is getting married in July, and shes already getting it together too! and they have only been engaged for a week! its amazing! shes going to get her wedding dress this weekend, already has the rings, and a destination!

Lovely dress.

I am disappointed, though. I thought the wedding was going to be toga themed.

Gorgeous dresses, Nikki.

If you're looking to save a little in the budget department, you might consider making your own veil. I made mine, and a colleague at work made hers, from these instructions: http://www.wegotgame.net/jen/veils.html It's ridiculously easy, they came out beautiful, and I saved about $300.

Wow! Your wedding dress is stunning! Love the detail at the bottom of your wedding dress, very elegant

That color green that you are accenting everything around is just beautiful
:
You are definitely going to have to show us photos of your wedding!!

It was the first gown I tried on- my best friend (maid of honor) Renae picked it out and i instantly fell in love with it! The moment i tried it on i knew it was "the gown!"
I can't wait to walk down the isle in it!!!
I tried on tons of other ones after first trying on this one, but none of them compared to this one! It just suites me! I'm soooo greatful i found one i liked on my first attempt! The price wound up not being so bad at all since i got it on sale too!!!!

What do you guys think? I'm going to wear a mid length veil and blusher with it.

This is what my bridesmaids are going to wear

Beautiful! I was lucky like you in that the first one I tried on was "it". Of course I still had to try others and I tried on a very similar one but the tucks in the skirt didn't suit me. I even considered the same dress for my bridesmaids. LOL

Thankyou everyone for the sweet comments!!!
I am soo excited!!! I forgot to add - the wedding dress i chose is white, not ivory
And i got a beautiful veil to go with it and a blusher as well

I'm pretty sure the bridesmaid dress i showed everyone is the one we're going to go with- but i want the rest of the girls to go with me to the store soon to make sure they're all comfortable in that one and that there isn't one they might like better

In the mean time though i'm trying to figure out what shoes i'm going to wear by tues (when i'm getting my fitting done) i'm sooo short- i need a heel, but at the same time, i had surgery on both feet a few yrs ago so i need something insanely comfy! I'm still looking around! Hopefully i'll find something soon!!

That is one fine dress!!! And the bridesmaid dresses are so nice too.
As for the shoes do you have a DSW nearby??? They have so many shoes that you might find something.

Well, i'm glad i opened the dress bag
I opened up the bag and was taking out some stuff and keeping other things in there i'll need for the fitting today when i noticed the veil- omg it's ginormous!
It's one of those cathedral veils
I definitely didn't want that one!
I'm soo short anyways, the fingertip veils may as well be a cathedral one on me
I'm just it simple mix up, but they gave me the wrong veil(and charged me for it too!) I have to go back today for my fitting so that the seamstress can altar my dress so i'm going to make sure they take the wrong one off my acct. and give me the right one at the right price

I'm not even sure they gave me the right blusher eithor now as i don't have the other veil to compare
Snap! Now i can't remember which veil i tried on in the store that was the right one
The sales associates were VERY sweet though so i'm sure they'll be able to help!

Glad i opened the bag before i got there

Most brides I know wear sneakers under their gown. No one sees your feet in a long wedding dress, so what does it matter what you wear on your feet. However if they have a garter removal "ceremony" at the reception, they change into a pair of heels or a nice slipper type shoe, at that point, but no one I know has gone to extra added expense to buy a pair of fancy heels for their wedding day.

i'm not a big fan of sneakers with a formal dress (even if nobody else sees it would still bother me
That, and i'm really short- 4'11.5'' ...so i really do need a heel. I was able to find a nice pair of dressy shoes with a good comfort rating online- so when i go in the store today i'm going to try them on and see
(they're not pricy eithor so that's awesome! AND i'll get a discount since i've already got my dress there
) Ya! I hope they work ok!!! I'm going to put some comfy insoles in them too!

In the mean time though i was able to call a moment ago and talk to someone about the veil being the wrong one- she was really nice and said i could bring it in and they would take care of everything
Their SA's are sooo nice!
