I've just noticed the time on posts is showing an hour ahead of the time here (eg I've just posted at approx 17.50pm but the time on my post is showing as 18.50pm). I've not noticed that before - has something been altered that might affect that? I've never noticed the time being out before but I might just be unobservant. I have the time zone set to GMT and the DST correction option ticked (I'm in England) so shouldn't that display the correct time for me?

I'm glad it's not just me!
Sounds like gremlins in the works.

Ok, I'm not the only one having that problem then, I looked at my screen & definately thought I was going crazy when I saw I had to wait 3000 seconds to search new posts

ok Um if you change your timezone to get the correct time on the board for you, beware that posts will be out of order and such.

I thought I was going crazy too, I had to have John look at it to make sure I wasn't seeing things!

It looks like the time now corrected itself, but is causing a few problems.

Thanks for the reports guys. Here's what I think may have happened. Our hosting provider had a power failure yesterday for a short period of time. The whole server was down for a few minutes. I think it may have screwed with the times and the new posts routine. Vbulletin has cron jobs which get performed every set number of hours/minutes. For example, user status and titles only get updated once an hour (so it could take up to an hour between the time a user reaches the required number of posts and the time her/his user title changes accordingly).

My guess is that we had those glitches until the right cron jobs kicked into place and re-checked the times. I *think* it's all ok now. If you still find any problems with these functions, please do report them! Thanks!

A few hours later now & its still doing the same thing. If I visit this forum, its the correct time, however if I go to The Cat Lounge it will be behind about 1 hour & posts that I had just made are missing.

Just thought I'd let you know, in case anyone else is still having problems?

I tried that earlier & it didn't work, so I just logged out & left it alone for awhile. Its an hour later now & it seems to be back to normal. Thanks!
