Calender for raising money at our rescue

My shelter has decided to produce a calender to help raise funds as they are a non profit organization, the calender will be for 2009.

Has anyone had any experience in this that they can share with me,

First see if you can get a local printing shop to print it for free with an advert saying they did it, so they can offset it on their advertising costs. That way all the money raised is 'profit' and can go to the animals.

Second, try and get the real heart breaking stories that will make people pay attention. Cats who needed a lot of vet care etc with a before and after shot of them in their new home. Include a story with the intake notes and a letter from the new home.
