Can I get some "don't get sick" vibes please?

John got up this morning with a stomach problem. He swears he's not actually sick and thinks that the Reuben sandwich from Arby's he had last night was bad. But I don't believe that, I think he's got a virus. I'm more than a little phobic of stomach viruses and unfortunately he requires me to take care of him so I can't really stay away to avoid getting it. I'd love some feel better vibes for John and some "don't get sick" vibes for me if you could spare a few!

I hope you don't get sick. Stomach bugs are no fun. I had one in Jan. last year. There wasn't any puking involved but it still sucked.

Thanks! He's feeling worse, and will not let me leave the room.
I'd love to be in another part of the house and not having to be around the germs. I'm feeling so hungry but I'm trying to avoid eating too much in case I do catch what he's got.

He's probably right. Who knows how long his sandwich could have been sitting under a heat lamp? (or at least the local Arby's does that here, yuck)

Make sure he stays hydrated, if he gets too bad off from it he may need a trip to the doctor.
I think there may be some OTC meds to help with nausea? not 100% sure on that though.

Eat if you're hungry, having an empty stomach won't help you one bit - especially since you have someone else to take care of.

Hope John feels better and you don't catch what he has..

I am just getting over a bout of the flu that lasted almost a week. I am feeling much better other then being very tired.

When I first got sick I thought it might be food poisoning as well but within a couple of days it became very clear it was a virus...

Hang in there and try to stay healthy...

A stomach virus is the worst - especially when it's coming out both ends..

I hope John gets better soon, and that you don't catch it, too.

Well, so far so good. John is feeling completely better today and still swears it was that Reuben he ate. I'm still not convinced, and I'm still worried I'll get it. He tells me I'm being silly because he knows it was from the food and not from a virus. I still don't believe him though, lol. But thanks for all the vibes, they are very much appreciated!

I'm glad he's feeling better, especially since it means he'll let you out of his sight.

Did he say if his sandwich tasted off? I know with my DH, even if the food doesn't taste right - and he will comment that something is wrong with it, he'll eat it anyways. Then be surprised later when he doesn't feel well.

Personally, I've never had a "stomach virus".
Plenty of food or medicine (usually liquid cold medicine) related problems though.

He didn't say it tasted odd, but he was hungry and ate it pretty fast. He generally inhales his food anyway.
He told me today that he's never had a virus but has had food related sickness many times, that's what makes him so sure that's what it is this time.
