Pictures of cats

I have a Sony H2 - Point and shoot camera - And I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to take better pics of my cat? Everyones pics always look so great!!

Any help would be great

Thanks - not sure How I missed that
My kitty's eyes always are blue - they don't have a blue eye reduction - on my camera!! LOL

If you take the photo in natural light with the kitty facing the light (not the light behind them) you won't need flash and won't get flash eyes
