Red how? Has she been in anything that could have irritated her skin? Scratching or rubbing at it a lot? Are there any little black specks, scabs/crusty skin, or swelling? Have you used any flea spays or sprayed any sort of chemical in your home - even something as simple as a cleaner?

Indoor only or does she go outside too?

Maybe she's allergic to the food you are feeding her or she might be allergic to the food bowls. Are they plastic? Because some cats can be allergic to plastic.

Get to a VET... I dont mean to be harsh but .... I nearly lost my dog to a bite last yr , she was in an O2 tent...
Is the swelling sudden?? If so Get to a VET NOW if it is a ongoing see about getting a payment plan or maybe a small loan from a friend
