I honestly don't think I've ever eaten anything weird. I have sort of a food phobia, I don't trust most things and I certainly won't try anything odd!

Does the worm from the bottom of a Tequila bottle count?
I guess I really didn't eat it, I just sort of swallowed it whole

Black pudding in Ireland. I didn't know what it was at the time. The thought just makes me want to

Puffin.

I thought it was chicken at first, but it was a bit ...different. I was then told it was actually puffin.

Rabbit. In my defense i was told it was chicken by my grandmother
They used to raise new zeland whites as meat rabbits when i was a little girl. (I had NO idea, i just thought they were their pets!)
At the time though they did what they had to do to be self suffficient and put food on the table -so i understand, it just makes me sad

Anyways supposedly i ate rabbit for years thinking it was chicken
(It's REALLY good though- tastes just like fried chicken if it's prepared right.) One day my sister and I walked outside and saw what my grandad REALLY did to them when he didn't see us sneaking around. We saw him kill and skin one and ran kicking and screaming to our grandma who about tore his head off for doing that in front of us (he didn't see us though)
That day we got to pick out our very own rabbit to take home and "rescue" lol - we named her Muffin and she lived for years! We also refused to ever eat rabbit at their house again

Pig's feet, but then again, I've eaten a lot of things that most people would find weird.
Escargot, frog's legs, ostrich, snake, rocky mountain oysters, squid and octopuss, sea cucumber and urchin, grasshoppers.

I'm one of those people that'll try anything once.

I ate octopus, too, in Mexico. The tentacles were a bit chewy. I have eaten Bambi and Thumper, too. Worst thing I ate was vegamite in Australia. Yuck!

I love brocalli and on a dare I put some Hershey's chocolate syrup on a piece and ate it - wasn't bad

As far as "exotic" meats: calamara (squid), alligator (dark meat tastes like fish - light meat tastes like chicken), ostrich, buffalo. I want to try bear, eel, rattlesnake, and octopus.

I ate alligator while on vaca in New Orleans.
It tasted like what you think it would taste like: a swamp.
