My personal favorite are psychological thrillers.
I just love movies (and books!) that keep me on the edge of my seat!

OMG! I love psycological thriller books. Movies are often not nearly as good as the books, so I don't go to movies as much.

Definitely action, but followed very closely by psychological thrillers.

"Chick flicks" and comedies come in last for me.....oh and horror - yuck.

Romantic comedies if they are good (didn't see that listed). I love the great thrillers, but they are so rare nowadays. The best psych thrillers are in books. Remember how Hitchcock could scare you to death? No gore, either.

I prefer action/dramas. My least favourite are "chick flicks". So far as "horror" goes, it depends on what it is. I don't like movies with hack and slash, blood and gore. However a good vampyre type movie, or a scarey movie like "Pycho" are cool to watch. I also enjoy action/fantasy such as "Lord of the Rings". But I didn't enjoy "Braveheart" because of the blood and gore factor. I also love foreign films, even if they are subtitled, but if they have subtitles I have to be wide awake and alert to watch them otherwise I can't concentrate on both the movie and captions.

It is not exactly a category; I voted other. That being foreign. Our first date was a foreign movie and we have been travelling the world, our sixth anniversary is tomorrow and we have logged in 19 countries. But when we are not travelling, we like to travel through foreign movies. LINK TV and IFC offers lots of foreign films and then a city like Dallas has lots of places that show foreign films. Last night we watched the Russian film version of Leo Tolstoy's classic novel Anna Karenina.

Being from Brainerd, you must have caught THAT!

When I worked at the catalog company, customers would tell me I sounded just like Marge in the Fargo movie. I had never seen it, so I went out and bought it, just to see what they were talking about. I laughed my butt off, b/c they were right!
To this day, some of my friends still refer to me as Marge..

I like mysteries and "chick flix."
For the life of me, I don't know why people and critics are so enamored with "Knocked Up." We did the pay-for-view thing and my husband and I didn't think it was that funny and it moved along so slowly.
Juno gets my 2 thumbs up
but I am not sure of the category.
