I agree. They should not accept it as a record. It is one thing to have a cat that is huge by virtue of nature, another thing to feed an animal to the point where it can hardly walk. Whatever the equivalent in Russia of the SPCA, they should step in and remove the animal from this person's home.

Anne - that article about the SPCA spay/neutering program working is great. Very useful info for local advocacy, especially in the Southwest.

These are articles from various publications - newspapers (local or national), online magazines etc. Usually, you have the name of the reporter on the article itself. These are not on the TCS website - I only provide links to them. I think it's nice to know what goes on in the world concerning cats.
