They keep playing this commercial and every time I just can't help but break down and
. I just want to snatch all them babies up and snuggle them all. I'm so glad I adopted my Skye.

Skye is so young, I'm sure she'd love a brother or sister to play with!

(It was only 2 weeks after adopting Mattie that I decided to get a 2nd cat, and 3 more weeks until I brought one home).

They've been playing this commercial and every time I see it I just break down and
. Seeing their little faces behind the cages begging for love. I'm so glad I adopted my Skye.

On another note I accidentally posted this same thread in a different section thinking I was here. It's been a long day

Sadly, there's no shortage of kitties needing good homes.

You should be glad you don't live in my town!!!! It's a pretty small town and the local shelter puts pictures up of all the animals that need homes and how wonderful they are. They also play the saddest song that makes you feel terrible you don't go and take them all home!!!!

The WSPCA has a commercial on the Discovery Times channel that is really heartbreaking also. They have abandoned dogs and baby chimps orphaned because their parents were killed for bush meat. At the end they have a donkey with something wrong with a front leg and he is hobbling along on three legs. For some reason that donkey at the end really gets to me every time I see it.

They have on this one a little fluffy dog with an eye missing and this boxer looking up from inside his cage. I think I'd be ok watching it any other time but since it's around that time of the month I'm a tad more emotional than usual.

Ever seen the Pedigree commercials?

Oliver gets adopted

Archie

What about this one?

What about my siggy boy? Older, no one wanted him. Then he contracts ringworm, becomes contagious? He would have died the next morning if I had not taken him home.

It's a fact of life....but should it be?

You may cry watching those commercials, try volunteering once. Live those commercials, it can be a different world. Yet, at the same time, it's one of the most rewarding things I can do. I cannot tell you how many times I've driven home bawling.

If no one does it, then the homeless animals suffer. Sometimes it gets to be way too much....but then I come vent on TCS.

I would love to volunteer but sadly the shelters here are all located at least an hour away from me. I'd prolly end up bring them all home. Might be a problem considering we only live in a two bedroom apartment.

Under the cats, mostly.
Obviously we don't get the ASPCA commercials here.... but the WSPA commercials kill me a little more inside every time I see them
