I was wondering how you all suggest keeping a previously indoor/outdoor kitty content inside. I live on a very busy street and my back yards is all woods with lots of wildlife that would love kitty for dinner, so I don't want him going out, but he keeps trying to go to the door if he sees us go near it. I have lots of windows and he does like to sit by them, but I don't think its enough for him.

Any suggestions?

Is your cat neutered? that might be the issue. My kitties tend to go to the door alot, but I think its curiosity more than anything. Keep him in and take any precautions you have to to keep him secure, I also live on a busy street and that is my worst fear. Everyone in my family knows to watch cuz if any of my babies get out ..omg there will be big trouble. Someone will be finding a new home and it won't be the cats. Get him lots of toys and a play tree by a window so he can look out. that works fine for me. I rescued a male feral and he is fine with being indoors.
