Forgive me if this is a silly question. I know what to do in a typical situation.
I have three ferals that I rescued from a ditch where they lived. Area was destroyed so I kept them. They are ages somewhere around 4 yr old, 2 yr old and just under 1 yr old.

They have been in a cat proof, feral ready room and now I have opened for them a small den area and game room. They are coming around nicely. Youngest will play with me and follow me around, 2 yr old stretches and watches. The 4 yr old is out more and not bothered by anything.

Question: Now that they are out and comfortable with the space I feel like I need to move the litter box or the food bowls out of their initial room. No problems as of yet. I just thought it was better avoiding problems by placing the food in a different area away from litter. How do I do this without throwing them off by moving their stuff around?

I'm new to TNR and cats. I started this summer.

All mine are vet checked, vaccinated, spayed/neutered.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
THANK YOU for rescuing these kitties!
Sounds like you're doing a great job.
Glad you found TCS!

I second this opinion. Leave the litter boxes and food and water where they are - and set up more litter boxes outside the room and another set of food and water somewhere else. That way if they know they're welcome outside of where they've been - if they choose to go there.
