Went to my meeting today and lost another 3 pounds

I spoke the leader after it was over and i told her that i am
no longer counting points, just watching my portion
sizes and she was very pleased.
She said that is what alot of ppl because they were tired
of counting points on everything they eat.
I told her that i was starving on just 20 points a day
so she calculated what my points should be a day
because she said 20 was kinda low.
The way she calculated,i should be at 30 points a day!
Now that i can do..

Congratulations, chelle!!! You're doing great.

No wonder you were starving...there's a HUGE difference between 20 and 30 points a day.

WOW! The difference in 10 points is akin to about 500 calories! No wonder you were dizzy.

Well, I did a BAD thing last night. I skipped diner (wasn't really hungry) at 6pm to develope some prints. I was going to make some popcorn or soup once the rest of the class got there around 7ish and the dark room got full. Instead, the prof lectured until 9pm! At 8 I had a granola bar because I was starving by then. After lecture I went back to the dark room until 9:30 and since the granola didn't do much and I had something like 6+ daily points I stopped on the way home.... at Taco Bell!
and got a 7-layer burrito which, if your wondering, is 12 points!
I didn't know that when I ordered. Plus, it was like 10pm when I ate it. The really sad part is it didn't even taste that good... I should have gone to wendy's for chili or a baked potatoe. Bad me!

Cool Thanks.
Couldn't find the WW cookbook today but im still
gonna search for it.
My husbands aunt did WW a while back and she had
the cookbook but she said she threw it away
a long time ago

I'm thinking about joining the WW online, from
what others members had told me,they have
alot of recipes there

Chelle - may I suggest Sparkpeople.com - they have a lot of recipes there and there is a TCS support group there. You can calculate the points each recipe has if you get a WW calculator.

And i was wondering if anyone who's
a member there can tell me how the point system work
Any info would be much appreciated
I have been a WW lifetime member for more years than I want to remember. There have been many different programs but the Point system is the easiest one ever. My only problem is that after losing the weight I tend to gain it back. I started again just a couple of weeks ago and I am still lovin the Flex system (points). It does work, just stick to it.

chelle, I have a bunch of WW recipes, many of which don't need the oven at all. I'll PM you some of my favorites.

How was everyones weekend? okay here.
I ended up at urgent care yesterday because i have
a nasty sinus infection ( i get these at leat 3 times a year )
So i didn't have much of an appetite.
I made some progressive soup ( 0 points )
and i ate the whole can lol

Watching my portion sizes have made a big
difference.even my hubby and kids have too
None of them have weight problems but my
husband is soooooo supportive.
I don't think that i could do this without him.

That is a great thing. I know I wouldn't have dropped the 15 pounds I have if my hubbyhadn't joined with me. Not only did he learn what his portion size was, he learned mine also (he tended to give me too much food when serving).

My weekend was pretty good. Matt's no joining mer per say but I do notice that when I start watching what I eat he takes a greater interest in it as well so we ate pretty good this weekend. Sunday we took a center pork loin (fairly lean) and made a roll out of it stuffed with wild rice and dried cranberries. It was delicious and only 4pts for a 1" think slice.

I'm happy and frustrated this morning though. The dress pants I put on this morning are almost falling off now! Actually, if it weren't for my hips I don't think they would stay up. The frustrating part is that I JUST bought them less than a month ago and I love them. I may be looking for a good tailor soon.

And that support is so important
Check this out. Last friday is "pick your meal"
(the kids decide what's for supper)
They said "Mom we want hamburgers and fries"
then my husband said "Nope, were going to eat
lighter and watch the portion sizes"
So i made chicken instead and i couldn't believe
how all 3 of the cut down the portion sizes
and they were satisfied, they didn't want
seconds..My hubby said anything he can do
to help me out.
Without the support of my family i don't
think that i can do it.
All 3 of them are skinny and don't need to lose
weight but like my hubby said "Even if you don't
need to lose weight, you still need to watch
portion sizes" and he's right.
He's a great guy and i'm lucky to have
such an understanding family who are willing
to watch their portion sizes with me,I told them
this is not a diet but a lifestyle change.
My hubby is 5'9 and weighs 155
My son will be 14 in March,he's 5'5 and weighs 100
And my daughter who is 10 and about 4'3 if that
and she weighs 45 (she's very tiny)
And even tho they don't need to lose weight
they want to join a Gym along with me.
(were joining income tax time)
I can't wait!!

Wow, Chelle - you've got great support!

And Twstychk, I want that recipe - how good does that sound?

I had a pretty good week and weekend. It's TOM time so I didn't lose as much as I had hoped, but I lost a full 3 pounds, and I can feel it a bit in my waistbands!

It's so awesome that you guys have such great support. DH tries, but it doesn't always work out so well for me. He needs to lose weight, too, but the thing is that he loses it way, way easier than I do. Actually, if he'd just cut out the junk food and stick with that, he'd be fine, but he doesn't. He also gets motivated by competition, so when he tries to do it with me he always wants it to be a competition. So he cuts back a little and cheats like crazy and loses 10 pounds a week, and I stick to the book and do everything right and only lose a pound or two. So it ends up being really frustrating for me. I try to get him to focus on doing the right things instead of the pounds, but he just doesn't get it and ends up waking me up every morning with "I lost six pounds overnight!"

I had a pretty good weekend food-wise. I messed my back up, though, so I'm pretty much out of commission on the exercise at the moment.

It's TOM for me too... and I weigh tomorrow. I don't expect to see a big loss if any really.

We don't really do recipes.
This could get long so I'll PM you with what we did.
