Hi All,

Recently my kitty population has nearly doubled in size, leaving me tottally confused and bewildered on how much I should be feeding them.

I don't want to overfeed them and I don't want to starve them.

I have (10 Adults) who are feed together, and they're aged between 6 months and 4 years.

I have (3 Adult females), aged between 6 months and 2 years, and I have 9 Kittens aged between 2 months and 3 months. These are kept seperate to the others due to one being the mother of the kits, the kittens too young, and the other 2 adults until I get them spayed.

So All in All, I have 13 Adults & 9 Kittens, but kept seperate.

How much should I be feeding them all, and should I feed them mainly wet food - a combination of both, or primarily dry food (it's getting really hot here) with a bit of wet each week for a treat.

If someone could advise in way of weight (pounds or kg) that would be great, as tin and box sizes vary from country to country.

Thanks All.

Autumn

Roughly a 10 lb cat would eat 1/2 cup of dry or 1/3 cup dry and 3 oz wet

Although I'm no food expert, I think mom and kittens should be on a free feed kitten food until at least 9 months (kittens for sure)

what i do at work is give the adults 1 tsp of canned per day and just leave out a bowl of dry all the time. For the kittens, I give one to one and a half tsp of canned per day and endless dry and also sometimes give catmilk but not too much.
