I was just walking out of the kitchen and behind me, I heard Sassy's signature "thump" of the cabinet door. Just once, only once. She has perfected breaking into cabinets. She doesn't do the sit at the door thump, thump, thumping it trying to get a grip on the door thing; oh no. She rushes up to it, stretches to the top of the door, hooks it with a claw, and spins. This opens the doors and twists her right through the opening. She is so quick that you can be looking right at her and almost miss it.
But, straight in front of me was Sassy Sasparilla, sitting quietly on one of the cat gyms at the living room window, watching the kitchen with interest.
I went back into the kitchen, opened a couple of doors, and; it was Freeway! After months of patient teaching by Sassy, Freeway had at last learned the "stretch and spin" maneuver to breaking and entering
A short while later, the two of them retired to the Tupper Lair, where Sassy smirked thinking about her pupil's cleverness
