Happy New Years!

I'm off today, but the boyfriend is working. And it's snowing right now, so I'm glad he took my car because mine has the snow tires. They're calling for another 5-9 inches like yesterday.

I've been doing lots of cleaning seeing as the apartment is a huge mess. We didnt take care of anything after we got home from Massachusetts on Christmas. Then we were away last weekend, came home with more presents, and just threw those on the floor so we could play ROCK BAND! We are so addicted.

Anyways, have a good New Years everyone!

Happy New Year's All!

Feeling better today thank goodness. Am just puttering around the house now. We had a ton of snow again yesterday so it took me a while to clean off my deck and stairs.

Just put dinner in the oven, I am doing a nice pork tenderloin with baked potato's. Going to eat early then park it in front of the TV for the evening.

Although I am feeling better I am still pretty achey and tired.

Everyone have a good one

Happy New Year!!!!

Today, I am unsuccessfully trying to relax. We are on our second pot of coffee for the day and my hubby keeps finding excuses to pester me about stuff. I am hiding in the upstairs spare bedroom (thanks to wireless internet) and both the cats are also here with me. I guess he was pestering them also

He has taken over the cleaning and the laundry because he cannot sit still (as usual) so I am just keeping my furchilden warm.

It is 24 degrees here with 40mph wind gusts (windchill about 10) with lightly blowing snow. Darcy has given up roasting herself on a heater vent and I have her wrapped up in a blanket next to my laptop. I hope she is warm enough.

Okay, spoiled here in No. CA. Sunny and 45F today. Probably will go out for lunch and take a walk. Maybe go see Atonement. Our daughter has to work today and won't be home for dinner. I packed a dinner for her. Don't know yet what we will have for dinner. Maybe crab.

Slept late (7 am)!! I think I have a mini bout of the flu or something -kinda blah with some aches and chills.

Didn't feel good yesterday afternoon either.

Neil went to neighbor's to watch the Wisconsin game but now back home with more football on TV.

Sunny, windy and in the low 20's. Supposed to warm up to low 40's this Saturday.

So just laying around reading from the stack of paperbackbooks my sis left me.

I awoke to snow and frigid temperatures. It's supposed to go down to -15° C (5° F) tonight! I spent most of the morning and afternoon at my in-laws' house. My mother-in-law is extremely ill with a norovirus, and it's causing heart problems. She's 81, and we're really worried that she won't survive this. She's too weak to get out of bed, use the bathroom, or wash without help. My father-in-law is 83 and fairly fit, but we're afraid he'll come down with it. I know she wants to remain at home, but my husband (an R.N.) is insisting that she be hospitalized now that the holidays are over. Our nephew is also sick with it, and spending the holiday in bed.

Such a nice lazy day today! We didn't get out of bed until about 11:30am, and didn't get ourselves moving for awhile. I played Guitar Hero 3 and gold-starred all but 1 song on Easy, and have already beat medium as well. Then we went out and bought a Lexmark all-in-one printer at Best Buy and had lunch at Moe's Southwest Grill.

I have been working on getting our reception invitations addressed, but that just came to a screeching halt - the future MIL is "confirming" addresses now, so I'm surfin' the net and Rob's watching The Twilight Zone.

I woke up at 7:13 am this morning to cats crying for their food. I went to bed at 1 am

I've pretty much spent the day doing laundry and dishes. By the end of the week I'm putting the christmas stuff away.

I'm back at work today after my pilgrimage to Lambeau field!
It's cold, and snowy, but the trees were stunning on my drive in this morning. I'm working 11a-11p. My patient delivered a gorgeous girl!

Oh I hope your MIL pulls through this! Sometimes the hospital is the best place when your so sick. But I understand not wanting to go too!
