I still have the big Nikon and I love it, but an SLR is just a really big camera, and I like having one to drop in a pocket and go when I'm just out and about. And I managed to lose my little Sony camera somewhere. I figured that I'd left in on top of the car or something

So, off to Best Buy yesterday and bought a very, very nice little Nikon. I decided on the Nikon over another Sony for one reason, the little Nikon A570 uses the same memory cards as the SLR, and I already have several of them.

So this morning, after charging up several sets of batteries and getting it all ready to go, I went to my hardside case from the closet to get one of spare SD cards; and there was the Sony, all bundled up and placed in one of the spots for the Nikon's extra lens.

Uh, duh!

So, the good news is, now I can leave the Sony in the glovebox of the car, for the occasional "oops, there it is" picture

OMG! I came into this thread thinking I was never going to see another picture of your kitties!

I'm sorry you lost your camera (and then found it again, hehe), but it looks like you got a better one!

*waits to see new Hobo and Freeway pictures* hehe

I think that there should be a universal remote that helps you find everything that you can't find, like your keys, cameras, iPod, DS, etc.
Now you have 2 - lucky you!

Boy, did he. They all got pretty much the same thing, toys, catnip, treats. But Freeway's stocking was big enough for the new Da'Bird and; the Zoom Groom!

Mischief seems to think that the Zoom Groom is his. I can't sit anywhere near a flat surface without him hopping up there and taking a seat to stare at me till he gets a brushing

That sounds like two of my mom's three dogs - they love the Zoom Groom.

Since you now have what, three cameras, can we expect even more candid shots?

In Nov. hubby & I went to Wollongong for a holiday. Had lunch one day on the balcony of a hotel overlooking the beach. Going back to the car, I decided to take more pics of the view. No camera. I thought I must have left it on the table, so hubby went to look, had the waitress & him look in the bushes below the balcony. Nothing. So I go & buy another camera. Later that afternoon our son rings, from Sydney, to say that a lady rang about my camera. Now I have 2 cameras, the new one better than the 1st.

almost fell over when I saw that! Whew!

I did something like this a couple of months ago with my Canon. It would not work. Seems like it would try but couldn't get enough juice going. I had just replaced the batteries, too. So I cruise the Internet, doing comparisons, thinking I'll get a smaller one this time, wondering how I can afford a new camera and so stressed I'll miss something cute a cat does

Well, long story kinda short, I discovered I had placed one battery in upside down
I felt so foolish! But I still love my Canon
