Good Luck. I would help any way I could..
Would some kind of monetary donation help him? Can we donate money to keep him there? I understand the no-transport policy. I hope we can do something for him. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do. I would gladly donate some cash to help him.Originally Posted by white cat lover
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....but we have strict policies on shipping. That is.....no....period.No flying, no transports. If you want to adopt, you must come in person. We do not bend that rule for anyone. It's been our policy furr-ever.....(and I can't even talk them in to bending it a little bit-not even for Bailey).
If anyone is interested in adopting him, and OK with the fact that he has ringworm(contagious to other animals & people)......I can come up with a way to hold him somehow. But you would have to drive here(southern MN) to adopt him.
Probably me.Originally Posted by mzjazz2u

He's only 9 or 10, right? My RB boy Snoopy was 18 and had to go under anesthesia to have his infected teeth removed and I ended up having to give him oral antibiotics after I brought him home from the Vet's. If a cat is only 9 or 10, he has a lot of life left in him to live, and from the looks of his sweet face, he has lots of love to give. It is just too heartbreaking to put that precious boy down.Originally Posted by white cat lover

Right now....I'm assessing:
1) Does he have ringworm? (Yes)
2) Where do I plan to put him? (No clue)
3) Will any of my cats get ringworm from him? (PJ & Punky, probably...the shelter kitties)
4) How do I plan to pay for treatment? (Haven't gotten that far yet...need to determine a med so I can figure a cost)
5) Do I risk his kidneys/liver treating with an oral med? (I'm leery of an oral med on such on old kitty)

He's 10-15 years old. Vet is leaning towards 15 years.Originally Posted by HopeHacker
