Jordan threw up last night & normally this would not be something I would worry about, but he is on Metoclopramide which is supposed to help prevent him from throwing up. I'm just a little nervous that he might have an obstruction. So I didn't give him any Metoclopramide because it also causes the GI tract to move & the vet said that it's a problem if they have an obstruction. I suspect that he's constipated, so I gave him some enulose this morning. He ate fine & he hadn't thrown up by the time I left for work. Please send vibes that he doesn't have an obstruction.

The vet did mention something about the sedation, but I was under the impression that it was perscribed to help with the nausea. Nothing was said about Constipation because he already has a constipation problem. So I guess giving him the enulose was the right thing to do. He did have a bowel movement after he threw up. Also, I had given him his pred. on an empty stomach. It is hard to know with him what's going on. He was put on the Metoclopramide because he was hungry, but as soon as he started eating his stomach would make all kinds of funny noises and he'd stop eating. He's been on it since Thanksgiving and has been eating 2 meals a day without fail.

Just an update. Jordan is doing very well. I never had to take him to the vet because he had a large BM with a little lactulose and has been fine since. I'm going to call the vet on Wednesday and ask if it's necessary to keep him on the Metoclopramide. I didn't give him any last night or this morning & he is his old peppy self and ate great. So I'm trying to assess how many meds he actually needs. If what is wrong with him isn't going to kill him, I really want to get his medication down to a minimum.
