Hello to All.
Hi there! Thanks for the welcoming email, you know who you are!
I have been owned by cats since I was in college, way back in 1982. I have loved four cats in my home and one feral, outside my door and in the neighborhood.
My first kitty was a learning experience, for sure. His name was P Floyd. and I called him Floyd. He was with me for 12 years b4 his kidneys failed and he went to kitty heaven. His brother was 5 years younger and I named him Purr-C. He was a purr-d Purr-C. He passed in 1994 and was 17. I am now proudly owned by Otto and his brother Fred, they are not related but are both going on 14. Otto is my only long-haired kitty, the others were and Fred is smooth. All of my kitties are solid black.
I am an avid black cat collector and my home is full of black cat items and I have many, many black cat clothing items too. I wear a black panther stitched leather jacket in the winter. My recent ex, who is from Cuba, told his cousin that I was a "gato negro fanatica" and I fully understood that, even knowing only a bit of Spanish at that time!
Both of the kitties who own me now are always battling to be the first in my lap whenever I sit down. I play on my computer a lot when I am not working and they love to have my attention so interupt me quite a bit!
I work at a very large hospital and perform ultrasound tests, taking pictures of the insides of sick persons, four 12 hour shifts four days in a row and have three days off in a row. They sleep with me when I sleep, they eat twice a day and are not afraid to voice their opinions when I am tardy with the meals... heaven forbid if I have to run an errand on the way home! They both greet me at the door and sometimes cry when I have to leave them.
They are my babies, my life and my loves.
So, now you know a whole lot about me and I have read a lot about some of you. I think I am in fine company! GLAD to be here!
Thanks, Catwoman62
