Hmmm...that Clyde looks like a Clyde to me; you don't see many with their tails, but some aren't docked. This horse is probably used for riding, more than driving; drafts are becoming more and more popular as riding horses now a days...

Legs are not thick enough, nor do they have enough feathering for a full clyde.
Beautiful horse though, lovely deep color.

Clydes are one of the more refined of the drafties...that horse has plenty of bone, and he could be a young horse too, explaining the slighter amount of feathering.

To the OP...where did you get that picture from? If it was from someone's site, perhaps his breeding is on there...that would clear any confusion...maybe you could link the page you got him from. I still say he looks like a Clyde; he's definitely NOT a warmblood...he's too heavily built for that.

It was a site that has horses for sale. Almost all of her horses are draft mixes, she just didn't say anything other than Clyde. If I remember right he was five years old and a jumping/dressage prospect??

That would have been easy then, since it had curly in it's name I thought it may have been a trick and almost put "konik" but the head and neck was not right

I have never seen one, I have a book that has a bunch of breeds and I remembered there were a couple that looked curly.

It has a cool one, almost like one that was posted a while back called a marwari, it had a gold chain on it, (the ears touch), it is a kathiawari. It has the touching ears but more slender of a build and more of an arab face. I really want one!

I also want an Akhal-Teke, Some say they are the worlds oldest purebred horse and have been recognized for at least 3000 years.

Afraid so
that's why I don't have one yet! The least expensive I have ever seen was $4,000 for a very young colt. I will have one some day though!!!!

Definitely of the Arabian family...hard to tell which one from that photo, though because we can't see the over all body. Could be a Shagya Arabian...
