We don't have a lot of stuff to make meals with in the house but that doesn't stop DH. Last night he warmed up a can of Mediterranean style soup with bow tie pasta. Instead of eating it like soup he spooned it out on plates and served it with garlic mash potatoes and a piece of toast. It was delicious. He went to live with his dad when he was 17 and a lot of times they didn't have a lot of food so he got good at making a meal out of nothing. Ever have a chip and mustard sandwich? They're pretty good.

As a single guy living alone, I eat some odd stuff. I have had mayonnaise and pickle sandwiches! heh heh heh Being resourceful is what us guys do best. Kind of like McGuyer in the kitchen.

Oh boy, Macgyver was da man! As kids, we learned to make due with almost nothing. We created deep-fried ball-shaped thingies we made from flour and water, then dipped them in ketchup or mustard. We were pretty darned proud of ourselves.

That dinner hubby made sounds delicious!
