A fellow Harley Owners Group chapter member lost her nephew last week.

He was just 23 years old, had recently returned from his THIRD tour of duty in Iraq.

His wake is this afternoon and my HOG chapter members will be coming together en masse to stand with the family this afternoon, and more will attend his funeral services tomorrow morning.

The Patriot Guard riders have been called in to attend as well, and it's going to mean so much to the family he left behind to see the show of support from the motorcycling community.

Unfortunately, no one will be riding as there is close to 3 feet of snow on the ground, but the message will be there nonetheless.

If any of you have any prayers to spare, please send them up for the family of this lost soldier. He served his country well and made his family proud. But his loss, especially at this time of year, is almost more than his loved ones can bear.

Please keep them, and all of our troops in your thoughts as we move into this holiday weekend. The family of Corporal Nevin Moreira thanks you.

Watching the robins sing!
I am so sorry to hear of this. My prayers go out to all of our military and their families. And sending a special prayer to the family of Corporal Nevin Moreira.

I am sending along a link to a very beautiful poem - in fact the refrain is in the United Methodist Hymnal and it was a song that I had sung at my Mother's memorial service. It is called On Eagles Wings:

Many hugs and prayers to his family and friends. And
to you and your fellow Patriot Riders. I know you would love to have the bikes out.

Thank you all so much.
I just know I'm going to cry my head off later today.

I am one of many Aunts and family members of Cpl. Nevin Moreira . My nephew served 3 tours of duty in Iraq to protect us. We are extremely proud of his duty and he was a wonderful person who loved animals, life and his family. He was a strong, determined man who cared for everyone and everything that touched his life. I do want to thank all of you who send your prayers and thoughts to Nevin and our family. Those supportive thoughts are appreciated. Thank you, Tracy
