Well Charlie's ritual when he comes out of his enclosure, is to jump up on top of the bottom door (we built a split door) and be scratched and cuddled till he's ready to be picked up and carried inside . He has been out a lot today so he was meowing his head off. He jumped up on the door for only a second, then he ran off!!!!
Straight up onto the porch into the house as mum held the door open!!

He could have ran straight out onto the street of into the neighbours yard and not come back
He scared the crud out of me, but i love him so much for being smart enough just to run straight forward (the house is probably about 10 metres away)
He hasn't been out around the neighbourhood in almost 8 months. It's about the fourth time he's escaped as we've opened the door (also to the house, not just the enclosure), which isn't bad considering he's been in that enclosure probably over 300 times.
