I had to show my hubby the pic of the person that's been cracking us up so much the past few days (some of your posts are bust out hysterical!). He said - she's so cute - what's with the shirt?
I pointed out the title of the thread.....

I don't know that you need so many bright colors at one time - but bright colors look great on you!

And I've been accused of having bad taste, so take this for what it's worth - but I think the kitty t-shirts are cute, and I don't wear any socks that don't have kitties on them!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really it is the thought that counts... but you could use that first shirt as a scarecrow's shirt!

I love the kitty shirts, but wouldn't be caught dead in the first one. Seriously, though, Natalie - with your coloring, height, and frame, you can carry it off.

I didn't know I have been funny!
Sleep deprivation, that's my excuse!

I'm still not sure on this shirt.....it's cool, but unbelievably ugly.

lol..sometimes you just have to smile and say, "Thanks so much! I love it" then spill bleach all over it on "accident" and hope they don't buy you another one.

Natalie - you have an amazing wit! I'm not gonna go dig up the threads, but one quick example - your description of Ophelia's favorite toys: "She loves small plush toys & carries them all over "yodeling" at the top of her deaf cat lungs!" With our little deafie Flowerbelle, we totally relate, and we couldn't stop laughing just thinking about it!

....and turning the shirt into a pillow is a great idea! I don't know if that would offend your mum though.....

If it makes you feel ANY better... the first year Colin and I were dating at Christmas time...he bought me a brown bra
and gave it to me in front of my entire family

this year he got me a pair of black gloves that are too big

He means well- i love him to pieces
But i totally understand!!!! OMG that first shirt- WOOOO MAMA! I agree though- it makes you look a wee bit like rainbow bright
But, i used to think she was sooo cool when i was little- so that's a complement

I do kind of like the second kitty shirt though- the pink one with black kitties- it'd be a cute night shirt

You can always save that rainbow shirt for next Christmas with the family.

I am impressed that the horizontal bands are in the proper order )ROY G BIV).

Sweetie, our first Christmas my DH bought me two pairs of MENS thermal underwear. AND they were too small!! :disappointed:

If you let them know (subtly) that it's not quite what you'd expected, then they tend to improve
My idea of subtle was to never let him forget it, seeing as he had asked what I wanted and I said "something sparkly!!"

Mind you, I get a lot of use out of that underwear these days, it's blimmin' cold out here, so I can't complain now
He was only thinking of me keeping my legs warm!!

I would just wear it once around her to make her happy, and then it conviently come up missing in the bottom of your closet.

I like the cat shirts... that rainbow one is just not for me. I also got something I didn't like: a hideous beaded necklace that just looks like a child made it and it's so gawdy. Barf! But what am I to do? She's going to expect me to wear it and we WORK at the same place! I know she meant well and I'd never break her heart but yikes!

Honey if it makes you feel ANY better I get this every year from my Dad:
http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/sto...feat=502984-tn

It's become a family joke. I've had them made into teddy bears, pillows, cut them down and given them to my Mom to use as part of a quilt, cut the old one up for rags, and worn them for Halloween.

EDIT: Please note the last point they make: Generously sized for sleeping comfort. Oh boy do they mean generous. Half of my family could sleep in this thing.

One of the reasons why I became an ice hockey freak in my teens was that it made it much easier for my father , etc., to find gifts for me! I did ice hockey and Airedales in the 70s, Boxers and pewter in the 80s, rhinos and tigers in the 90s, and am doing cats and bears this decade.

But... how would you tell?

No, seriously, I actually like that silly shirt! It's tasteless, but it's so... exuberant! You could never be sad in that shirt.

And you're just cute as a button!

I did it. I wore the shirt in public. As I was about to leave for supper with a few others from the humane society tonight, my mom started pouting "you hate it, don't you? It cost a lot of money..... *sob*". So I wore the darn shirt.

Nobody missed me!
I can be seen from afar!
