I notice when Holden is laying on my chest and I am petting him that sometimes he will grab my arm and squeeze it real tight with his paws. It's like he is hugging me. Does anyone else's cats do this?

You're so lucky, Holden sounds so cute! My Figo only gives me Kitty Hugs with his claws out; his affections are piercingly skin deep
I love him really!
Spooky does this too! She lies down next to us for pets - and then squirms onto her side so she's lengthwise against the arm that's petting her. She buries her face in the hand (so we can pet both cheeks at one time
) - and then she grabs our arm with both paws (no claws) and hugs!

Holden is telling you that he is your boss, he loves you, and there is no way you can pet another cat if his paws are on you! Well, that is the interpretation I get from my Butzie!
