Food & Cold Weather

Does anyone know if cats need more food during the winter? Our cats seem to want more food than normal when the weather is cold. All 4 of them are fed set amounts....there is no free feeding. Lately, since it's been getting a little colder here, they eat all of their food and then beg for more.
