For the past week and a half or so Junior has frequently tried to groom Missy but she's always fought him off. I've never seen Missy try to groom Junior until now. Junior was laying on the desk in front of me and Missy jumped up and started cleaning Junior's ear and face!
This went on for a couple of minutes before Junior shoo'd her away.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Well, in our house grooming works two ways. When we used to foster, Sheldon was our "ambassador" kitty and would always "mommy" the little babies.

HOWEVER - with each other, our kitties only groom one another when they want the spot the one being groomed is in. Very rarely does someone get shoo'd away - usually the one being groomed gets annoyed and leaves!

Doesn't it seem like ages ago (even though it was only a few weeks) that you were thinking of rehoming Junior because you were frustrated with the way the introductions were going? Looks like you and your two kitties are all set now!

This was taken right before Junior bit Missy's paw to get her off him.

Aww, that's sweet! My cats don't groom each other, but sometimes Frannie will groom the bunny.
