I told me husband not to put his face near Angel when we were taking her a bath. He got swiped right on the nose! (Actually, sort of in his nose!) Ouch!

So, do any of you take drastic measures to protect yourself from an angry cat while bathing them?

Most of my cats don't really mind baths and will usually sit still. For those that are a bit more difficult, I usually scruff the cat with one hand and bathe with the other hand, and keep the cat turned AWAY from my face.

Mine gets baths! Of course mine are crazy too! Eek will sit outside the shower when you are taking a shower or bath and just wait. When you open the door cuz he looks like he wants in its just like "BOMBS AWAY!!" he hops in and takes a shower too! BooBoo is a little bit more tricky though, he's a two or three person job. He doesn't have front claws (trust me, I know, it wont happen again I promise) but he has mastered the arts of scratching the **** out of you! He fights and kind of bellows "REEEEOOOOWWMMM" and then you still have to scrub him and its generally a nightmare! LOL

Good luck to your husbands nose! LOL

I swear our neighbors probably think we torture Angel with the way she howls. But they both really needed bathes. We use a kitten shampoo with a conditioner that helps get the loose fur out easier afterwards. I just finished brushing Tiger out and found a 'dingleberry' on his hind quarters. Gee, how long had that been there?
So, after about 10 minutes of chasing him to cut it out, he finally let me near enough to his fat behind to snip it off.
I'm seriously considering of trimming his whole butt to prevent them!

As for Angel, she's still P.Oed at both of us. She'll come around, eventually.

Well, what're you supposed to do, when the cat smells catty or has tipped over a bottle of cooking oil or pees himself in the carrier?
