Drinkwell Fountain - water falls on her head!

My 17 year old kitty loves her Petmate fountain and loves to drink the water right off of the ramp. So, I figured she would LOVE the Drinkwell and drink right from the waterfall. Well, instead, she drinks from the bowel and the water runs on her head ! I don't even think she realizes it. I hoping, in time, she'll try to drink from the stream of falling water. My plan is to keep both fountains, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

Has anyone else experienced this with their kitty's Drinkwell fountain?

Mine drink from the sinks and get water on their heads, years later they still do it and I personally don't think they care

Whenever I pour the water into their bowls, Taco and Lt. Bear will stand directly under the stream of water as I'm pouring. It doesn't bother them a bit!

That's good to know. They are so odd. She hates, I mean HATES to take a warm bath, but she'll stick her head under a stream of cold water.... go figure but as long as she's drinking water, that's the important thing.

My fountain doesn't have water that falls, it's the Petmate Fresh Flow where it runs down a little ramp. Mattie is afraid to drink it from the ramp so she just uses the bowl at the bottom, but Chloe loves to drink it right from the very top. When Chloe tries to drink from the sink, she is definitely bothered by the water that gets on her head.
