Our bed is on a platform with drawers underneath. Flowerbelle has figured out how to open them - and decided to sleep in the one right under where my feet swing out to stand up. I didn't see it was open - well - because I wasn't expecting it - and she only needs to open it about 3" to squiggle in there. I nearly broke my neck!
Of course the disturbance woke her up, and she poked her little head out and looked very offended that I'd woken her up.

I hope you are ok - Flowerbelle is just too smart for her britches.

You're not kidding! Flowerbelle's deaf! Every night she wakes us up by shoving her paw in our faces. I guess I should look at this as payback!

LOL, welcome to my world! Abby tends to open all 6 drawers under my water bed. When she was a kitten she used to get into the drawers and climb behind them into the space under the bed. Now she can't do that, but she still pulls the drawers open. I've learned to reach down and check if any are open before getting out of bed!

They are just too smart for their own goods. Blossom was chasing bugs in our bathroom & touched an open cupboard door, which opened further, now she always trys to open it but it always bounces back. Although when I go out I've always locked her in the hall/bathroom & closed my double glass bedroom doors to keep her out. She's learned by extreme persistance to open it about 4 inches & get on my bed. A couple of days ago I did all the usual shutting of doors, then went back because I'd forgot something. The doors were open, Blossom on the bed looking at me as if to say, You weren't long.

Yeah - that's Ming Loy. She hides behind anything she can to ambush whoever walks by - us, one of the other kitties - but because she's handicapped, the jump comes with a tumble. Especially around the stairs I don't walk like normal any more - I have to shuffle my feet!

Well - Flowerbelle did it again last night! So now I have to do what Natalie does - check the drawer first!
