Why are some foods just better as leftovers?

I made an easy soup last night.
Lean ground beef, onion, garlic, and carrots, it was going to have barley as well, but the store was out so I added uncooked semolina stars instead.

And my trick, as J detests most veggies I added 32 ounces of spicy hot V-8.
I actually use V-8 in a lot of things instead of tomato juice, puree, or stewed tomatoes.

It was lovely last night, but it was simply heavenly tonight once reheated.

that sounds yummy! i LOVE good leftovers too- chili, soup, beef stew, cornbread...oh man good stuff!!!

hmm meatloaf ,potato salad, hmm some soups also,
i think that gives all the different taste a chance to mix in.
