Hey guys,
Well Im getting my cats vaccinated for the first time and I just worry so much about it. My vet doesnt stock shots without feline lukemia so Im on my own. I can get vaccinations at the local feed store but they are all nasal now, no shots. I called my vet and the assistant did some research and talked to the company that makes the vaccinations and she said it sounded good and it was a reputable company. You give one drop in each eye and then the rest goes up the nose, equal amounts in each nostril when they inhale. Im so nervous about it, I was wondering if anyone has done this before. I dont see how they dont just sneeze it out or how you'll even get to the second eye/nostril after the first one, or how they wont be holding their breath because theyre upset and all the fluid will just run back out...ahh!!

That is why the intra nasals arent more popular ... if your vaccinating I would find the shot but that is IMHO

side note : in human vac the intra nasals are LIVE in many cases... ie the flu one is and IT IS NOT recommend for anyone with a comprimised immune system
