My almost 10 week old kitty sleeps in her kennel at night. I am thinking of allowing her to share my bed now that she is older. I tucked her in every night since she won't go to sleep on her own. Her kennel is large but I have her fleece bed inside which she never really sleeps in anymore. She used to when she is much younger. There are mesh windows in the kennel and a zip up mesh door. In other word, I confine her to her zipped up kennel at night.

If she is not sleepy, she'll try to get out and makes a lot of noise, scratching and yelling. Otherwise, she'll retreat to the end of the kennel and lay down with her stuffed teddy bear.

My bf said that I really shouldn't lock her in anymore and should allow her to sleep with us. I feel the same way too but I don't know if it's going to be a good idea. If she is not sleepy, she'll be jumping and leaping around and I doubt I can get a good night sleep, worrying about what she is up to.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Most cats are pretty good at nighttime! They dont really disturb much, but just try it out! Put her cozy fleece blanket on the floor or your bed and let her know she can sleep there and I think she'll be as happy as a clam! Someone with more knowledge will probably have better advice, although I try!
