As you may know, I just adopted a little girl cat. She had babies that were adopted, so they have been recently weaned (I have not found out how recently though, or how old they were). She was not spayed, because the shelter had some problems with respiratory infections, and they just wanted to place the healthy cats without risking them getting sick.
So my question is this; Bailey is just getting used her new home, and Sam is just getting used to Bailey. There is absolutely no chance that she will get out - there are about 5 doors she would have to get through to escape. I would like to wait until both cats are really well settled before I upset her again by spaying.
Is there a reason I should do it sooner? Other than the fact that I am still locking her in the bathroom alone at night, and she might not mind being confimed after surgery as much if she is not used to being able to roam freely at night.
And of course Sam is neutered. Otherwise this would be a very silly question!
