Hi Guys,

I'm hoping some of our more eloquent members can help me out here. I'm getting my parents a family picture for christmas. It may sound funny but I've gone to a studio and pre-paid a package that include sitting fees and several prints. So, instead of giving them the receipt (they'll say I spent too much!) I'm making a card telling them what I got them. This way we can make sure the sitting fits everyone schedule. What I need help with is the wording on the card. I'm not sure what to put. Any suggestions? I'd like something a little more wordy that the typical "Good for...." saying.

It's Christmas and I have a surprise gift for you
One that all the family can enjoy, too
So, in this card, from my heart, you will find
A wonderful present, a one of a kind
A present that, unlike the tree will not perish
And for years to come, a gift we will cherish
We all we be photographed for pictures large and small
And Merry, Merry Christmas to us, one and all!

Woohoo! Butzie, you've got a gift!

And Meaghan, it's the perfect present -- they'll be delighted! Good work!

I was in a hurry earlier. I can't thank you enough... I never would have thought of a poem... or one so nice!

I'll defiantly post the pictures once we have them done.

I sure hope so. It never would have occurred to my if my mom hadn't mentioned wanting a new family pic. It's been something like 7+ years since we've had one.

Took me 10 minutes to write the poem. Things just come to me. While the kids were on a swim team, we had this "Mock Rock" show where the kids performed. Being a big kid myself, I always rewrote the words of a popular song so that it would pertain to the swim team and sang it.
I saw one of the swim team guys at the booth I was manning for a college info day and he said that everyone missed my mock rock songs. A teenage boy told me that. Made me feel really good.
