Just got back from the store. I have a Nikon D80 with the 18-135mm lens now.

The battery is charging so I haven't used it yet so no pics to share but YAY!!!!!!!!!

I got money to help buy it from my parents and grandmother on my birthday just a few days ago.

WHEEEEEEE!!!!

We look forward to more of your great pics!

Was it a D70 you had before? I love mine. Also, I've been meaning to ask you, I think you mentioned once that there is one lens in particular you use to get those awesome indoor shots. What lens was it?

I had a D50 before, as for lenses the 50mm f1.8 prime is gold. It's really cheap and it's fantastically sharp and it's very fast and good for low light as well.

You can get it off amazon for 110$ which is not much at all for a very good lens. I don't have mine anymore since it went missing along with my D50 but it's the next lens I'll buy now. Hopefully in just a few days

I'm just looking at the battery now, trying to make it charge faster.

Am I correct this only comes as a digital slr? I'd love to hear how you like it as you begin to use it. It's what I just bought my husband as a surprise Christmas present
and will be his first slr camera
