sophie doesn't get all that close to us, but just now i caught a nice big yawn and noticed that she has a double set of upper fangs (as i like to call them, lol). her baby ones don't appear loose and her gums aren't all that red. we'll see next week when she sees the vet anyway and if they are still there and need to be pulled out. oh, she is only 3.5 months old. max didn't start teething until he was 5 months old. millie is one month older than sophie and isn't teething yet. are kittens like human babies who might have diarrhea when they teeth? maybe this is why she is having diarrhea
??

I had a girl go into heat at that age so I would say teething could happen....

Yup, she could be teething! I don't know about the diarrhea - I never noticed our kitties had diarrhea when they were teething. But for being spayed and neutered, our vet always has us bring them in "as soon as their first tooth falls out."

Just thought of something. I don't know what her diet is, but if she's teething, maybe she's eating more wet food than dry (becuase of sensitive teeth), and this is causing it?

where i adopted her from doesn't want her spayed until 6 months old, so febuary. of course if she goes into heat before that, i will call sooner. she actually appears to be eating less wet food. sophie has never been a big wet eater, her foster mom told me she wouldn't eat it at all (but she also kept her locked in the laundry room so what does she really know), but she eats some for me. millie has been scarfing down what sophie doesn't eat if she steps away. the diarrhea seems to be better, poops are still loose, but not runny like a few days ago.

not that i can tell, but it is also hard to get a hold of her. i'm going to try and get a hold of her so i can see if her baby teeth fell out yet where the adult ones came in.
