You plan, you budget, you work, you sweat, you finally get the perfect one! You put it someplace you think it will be safe, some place that your loved ones will get to enjoy it and it happens! Someone steals it!!!! I worked so hard on it too!

Just goes to show you, never ever ever cool your cookies on your enclosed patio! That doesn't mean it's safe!!! (even from cute little squirrels!)

Yep, he's in 7th heaven I think!
It's actually a pic taken by one of the girls I work with. She was baking the other day and set them outside to firm up the icing so she could pack them up, and this little guy was helping himself!

Judging by the tummy on that "little" guy, it looks like he helped himself to several of them!

That is adorable! He sure looks like he's enjoying his cookie. He's just missing a tall cold glass of milk

OMG...the title of this thread had me so worried, Sooz!!! That little guy is just adorable. I wouldn't mind too much sharing my cookies with him (as long as they weren't chocolate).

I just realized that that is one fat little guy!
He must be breaking in all over the place.

Oh sorry Tari, but I had to ham it up a bit!

He is just so darn cute! I love squirrels! I put nuts out for them all the time!

That's OK...my first thought was just that you've had such a rough year, what else could possibly go wrong.

I love squirrels, too. We have three who have made nests in our trees in the back yard. I feed them all the time and have installed a heated birdbath so they can get water in the winter. Last summer, though, the little imps chewed a hole through the door in our garage so they could help themselves to the food.
I've reinforced the door and where we keep the squirrel food now. I just found a recipe for some healthy "squirrel cookies" that my niece and I are going to make this weekend. I hope they like them!

Don't worry I thought that thieves has started a union and were striking...
I'm thinking "that doesn't make sense..."

Yes my mind is elsewhere.

That's the fattest squirrel I've ever seen!
They really love to cadge food. There are a couple who actually come up and "knock" at my mom's sliding door to the deck when she forgets to put more peanuts out for them.
