hi guys, thanks for reading this.

recently i have moved over seas and brought my two cats with me. they are both tabbies, one is 10 the other is 11 and they are sisters to each other. the younger of the two has taken the move very well and doesnt seem to show any adverse effects, however, the eleven year old, who has always been quite sensitive, has taken to very, very heavy grooming to the point that she is now pulling all the hair from on and between her legs, on her belly around her bottom and at the base of her tail. basically anywhere she can reach.

maybe she has an infection, i dont know, but i think the problem is more likely stress related.

anyone got any ideas how i can chill her out?

Feliway to ease transition stress, and a vet trip is in order for the overgrooming. It may simply be stress-related, but there may be something the vet can advise to best help you out.

Poor baby. I see that you are in a rather remote location, but hopefully there is a vet on the island. It could be nerves which they might prescribe a small dose of anti-anxiety drug for or it could even be that there is something in your new place that your cat is allergic to.

I hope she gets better soon!
