My favorite is:

I've learned that goodbyes will always hurt, pictures never replace having been there, memories good or bad, will bring tears and words can never replace those feelings

My favorite song/lyrics is the song "Faithfully" by Journey. I'm also a big fan of "Hallelujah", especially Rufus Wainwright's version.

I LOVE that song! And can sing every word of it! It makes me happy! But my fave line is "is this the real life, is this just fantasy. Caught in a land slide, no escape from reality"

New Morning
Nick Cave

Thank you for giving
This bright new morning
So steeped seemed the evening
In darkness and blood
There'll be no sadness
There'll be no sorrow
There'll be no road too narrow
There'll be a new day
And it's today
For us

I Let Love In
Nick Cave

Despair and Deception, Love's ugly little twins
Came a-knocking on my door, I let them in
Darling, you're the punishment for all of my former sins

I let love in
I let love in

The door it opened just a crack, but Love was shrewed and bold
My life flashed before my eyes, it was a horror to behold
A life-sentence sweeping confetti from the floor of a concrete hole

I let love in
I let love in

These are some really great examples

My favorite quote is "Do unto others as ye would have done unto you"

Hmm... favorite song lyric... I love Dave Matthews... all his stuff speaks to me in some way but my fall back favorite is Ani DiFranco. Can't think of the song title but the lyric is "I know there is strenght in the differences between us, I know there is comfort where we overlap."

And my 3 favorite quotes are as follows...

Shakespeare's Sonet 116, the last stanza specifically...
"Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved."

The inscription in my engagement ring "2 fluttering hearts united 4 infinity"

& the inscription I had put in my husband's ring from a sci-fi/fantasy book "Love is most valuable when it's a struggle to achieve"

"If I Could Change The World" by Eric Clapton!

I've loved that song since I was a little girl!

And quote:

"Today is yesterday's tomorrow"

There is just something about Shakira's (Hips don't lie) song that I love!

Butzie' favorite song is "Only the Good Die Young" by Billy Joel.

My favorite is a Shakespeare quote, too, from Sonnet 73, "That time in me..;"

"This thou perceivest, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long."

You are her #1 cheerleader.

Sting has one line that he has stuck into numerous Police songs and into his solo work and I think it is cool - "It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up getting wet". I also love the lyrics to "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel.

Actually I love Carrie Underwood's So Small

*Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for
forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
seem so small*

My favorite quote
Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Hrm, let's see... I like Steve Goodman's

"Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows,
Make Life Difficult to See.
That's Why Last Night and This Morning,
Always Look the Same to Me."

The song's called "Souveniers" the whole thing is good.

I also like

"Little solace comes
to those who grieve
when thoughts keep drifting
as walls keep shifting
and this great blue world of ours
seems a house of leaves

moments before the wind. (p. 563)" It's from the book House of Leaves by Mark Danieloski.

And Puck's ending to Midsummer Night's Dream.

And ... er... I like too many other songs and poems. I'm stopping now.

A quote from my mothers yearbook said "There are patterns I must follow from the moment of my birth to the instant of my death" I've always liked that!

One of my favorite quotes is
Always do the right thing, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest

My favorite lyrics would have to be from the songs Let it Be, Sound of Silence and Your Still The One.

Great lyrics...and I love them best when they are blasting out of a circa 1980's ginormous boom box being held aloft by John Cusack! Best line from that movie..."I gave her my heart. She gave me a pen."

BTW, nice pom poms Pami.

That was on Comcast On Demand not too long ago. I really should break down and buy it.
