I was feeling sorry for myself because Tues. am our furnace ignitor failed and the repair guy couldn't come until this morning (still isn't here and almost noon). Had to go out and buy two space heaters.
Then I realized that the middle of the country is still recovering from the big ice storm and some don't even have power yet to plug in space heaters. My family lives in the Catskill Mountains and our daughter goes to Elmira College in the Finger Lakes region. They are about to, or are now getting, a snow storm followed by a bigger one Sat. night. We don't know if our daughter will be able to fly home Sat. and it is her 21st birthday!
Puts my kvetching about having the furnace break down when we were going to have the 2 coldest nights so far, lows of 35, into perspective.
