A color variant of the Russian Shorthair, appeared in USA as variant of Russian Blue. Possibly genetically cream (dilute of red). Possibly analogous to the lilac variants found among Korats (another blue-coated breed).

I've been calling Sam a Russian Blue Longhair; there is a breed registered that renewed this breed called Nebelung.

So when people ask "What kind of cat is that", I answer either "a big grey one", or "Nebelung".

There is no response to either, I have found.

I thought the same about Peedoodle, but one site says that they are normally small cats and Peedoodle is HUGE. He is about 3 feet long.

I have a russian blue and russian black. See my website for pics if you'd like to see them (link below). Their pages are titled Orion and Draco and there's also an info page about russian blues and blacks.
Draco has a russian white in his lineage and Orion has a russian black in his. Draco's mother is black and his father is blue. Both Orion's parents are blue.
The breeder that I got them both from also breeds russian whites.
Her website is http://www.holyoakcattery.com.au if you'd like to see a russian white.
I've also heard that they're working with russians that have tabby markings here in Australia too.
