Glad to have found this forum. I'm part of several others dealing with reptiles but this is the first feline site I've ever seen. We currently have three male cats, two adult and one kitten, whom we love very much. They've become my other children
Beren was our first cat... we picked him up after a seven hour drive to an animal shelter (just for him!) in Missouri about two years ago. Then, a few short months later while he was still a kitten, we found another rescue that was local, hence the reason we now have Kai.
They were such great buddies from the get go. And just recently we aquired a kitten from a farm outside of town who was giving them away to good homes. We managed to get a long hair siamese mix, and named him Casper. All of our kitties are great -- they don't bite, scratch or hiss, and they allow our children to handle them -- though we are strict on how they are handled so they stay nice. The reason I went to this forum is to find more info on cat behavior, curbing unwanted behavior (counter surfing, chewing cords, etc.), and just general advice on keeping cats happy and healthy.
