I have read that people use bay run or bay rum lotion on cats with darker fur when grooming them. I have never seen a reference to this in a local publication and wondered what this product is. I use powder and fuller's earth when grooming my persians, but the light colour does affect their coat colour and takes forever to remove by constant brushing to get it all out.

I have never seen this or heard of it being used. I can offer you another suggestion though. There's a great powder on the market. It's by House Of An-Ju. It's called star Dust grooming powder. It works really good and comes in a variety of colors including black.

Thank you for the advice. I will see if I can get hold of some as the white powder and even the fuller's earth is not ideal for dark coated persians.
