And so it ends

I had really hoped that there would be some kind of definitive end to the Holloway case, but it looks as though that may never be.

Aruba Considers Closing Holloway Case

I don't have children, but even I can't imagine never knowing about something like that. It has to be horrible.

I am from the same area Natalie lived and watch this closely. For at least a year, everyone had yellow bows on their mail boxes/or doors. That has slowly changed.

I hope her family has some closure with this one day.

My heart goes out to her family.

What is sad is that there are so many other families out there also with relatives, friends who disappeared or were murdered and there wasn't anyone caught. We just haven't heard of them.

The parent's know she is dead. She's been missing for over 2 years, so she's obviously dead.

Yes, the person(s) who did it should be punished, but apparently they have no further leads or proof against the suspects that they have arrested.

It's now a cold case. Sometimes cold cases get solved, other times they don't.

Whether they bring someone to justice or not is not going to change the fact that their daughter is dead, or their feelings about it either.

I had a friend go missing recently and her body was found two weeks later. When someone is missing, you have that hope that they are actually alive somewhere - there is ALWAYS that hope. I know that her parents will have that hope themselves. It is the worst feeling, when someone you love is missing and not knowing whether they are alive or dead, but there is that small glimmer - I have learned this the hard way. The only way you know for sure is when you find the body.

I was hoping for a definitive ending because the recent stories like Shawn Hornbeck and Natascha Kampusch could keep a parent hoping (and unable to move on) for years. I just think it would be better for them to know.

I agree. When Emma went missing - we hoped that she was just held captive. It is definitely better to know - you cannot get closure if you don't know.

Kellye

I agree most definitely. And I know as for Natalie's Mother, she has vowed to search for her until she finds her or finds out exactly what happened.
