My boyfriends work had their Christmas party tonight, which was actually just dinner at a restaurant. It was horrible. When we got there, they didn't have our table ready yet and had to wait 20 minutes (after having a reservation). We ordered 3 trio platters of appetizers and they almost brought us the wrong appetizer. They were going to bring bruschetta instead of chicken wings. Then we started eating the appetizers and a few of us noticed the one spinach dip had something weird in it. I finally noticed something sticking out and pulled it out and there was a HUGE piece of plastic melted and baked into the spinach dip.
We were all so disgusted with that. There was more plastic than dip in the dish.
We told the waitress and she agreed that it was gross and talked to someone about it and they took $8.99 off our bill. Not too long after that, they brought out our dinners and I had ordered salmon and the bottom of it was black, it was burnt so bad.
When I told the waitress, she said oh my god I think I'm going to have a heart attack. She was complaining about the kitchen staff for a few minutes. We all were like its ok, we realize its not your fault. I finally got another piece of salmon but by that time everyone else was ready to order desert so I just got it to go. A few of us ordered shrimp skewers and they were burnt too.
After dinner, we ordered desert and that all went fine. Then when she brought the bill and saw we had to pay all in $25 and $50 gift cards she got mad and she was like wow I am so glad next week I am done working here. She got her manager to do the payment and then she (the manager) came over to the table and sat down and said "After all you put her through, you only gave her a $21 tip" and my boyfriends boss was like actually I gave her a $45 tip. The manager went and re-checked and it turns out she forgot to ring in one of the gift cards.
We couldn't believe she had the nerve to come and say that to us. We didn't do anything to her, it was the people working in their kitchen.
I hate that restaurant more than anything but we only have one actual restaurant in our town.
