My kitten has recently taken on the interest of jumping on my other cats back and biting the back of his neck/upper back. The funny thing is that my cat just kinda walks around with Jasper on his back

Is the kitten trying to establish some dominance or do you think he's simply playing? I've only seen him do it a few times, but I figure since he's done it more than once it's worth asking about. He's ~5mos old and not neutered. Some things came up and we were supposed to take him last week, but our appointment fell through. Don't worry, he'll be all set soon

He's playing and trying to get attention. It may be he's trying to establish dominance, but that's usually done with a paw on the forehead. Your older kitty would do something about it if it were bothering him.

I would say he's just playing now, but the older he gets to be w/o being neutered, it would more of an aggressive thing to prove who's more dominant. He would also do that when he gets the "urge" - especially when he gets older...

I'm not sure how it works with males (been a long time!) but I would think he is just doing it because he feels like he should. Neutering asap will help alleviate that urge. It is probably playing at this point
